Leading automotive brand, Chery Australia has secured two major category wins in its first appearance in the 2026 Money Best of the Best Awards, with the Chery Tiggo 4 Urban and Chery Tiggo 8 Super Hybrid Urban awarded Best-Value Compact SUV and Best-Value Plug-In Hybrid respectively.

Money Best of the Best Awards highlight Australia’s top performing products and brands. Each winner is rigorously assessed to ensure they deliver outstanding benefits to consumers.

Priced just under $24,000, the Tiggo 4 has been celebrated as a standout choice for young professionals, first-time buyers and families seeking a quality compact SUV without compromise.

Despite being Australia’s cheapest hybrid SUV, it boasts a rich list of standard features from dual 10.25-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Chery’s intelligent “Hello Chery” voice command system.

Tiggo 8 Super Hybrid Urban – Best-Value Plug-In Hybrid (Gold Winner)Chery also secured the Gold award for Best-Value Plug-In Hybrid with the Tiggo 8 Super Hybrid Urban, now recognised as Australia’s most affordable 7-seat PHEV SUV. Judges noted its strong value proposition, EV-ready hybrid technology, generous standard equipment and family-friendly three-row configuration.

The Tiggo 8 Super Hybrid offers up to 93 km EV driving (NEDC) and a combined range of up to 1,200 km, supported by a fifth-generation hybrid system pairing a turbocharged 1.5L engine with a 150kW electric motor. Inside, it features a 15.6 inch infotainment touchscreen, 10 speaker audio, synthetic leather seats and extensive safety tech including 9 airbags and a full ADAS suite.
